Collaboration with HoSQ
BSWAC has partnered with Humans of San Quentin to launch ‘A Moment in Time’, an initiative dedicated to sharing the lives and stories of individuals with lived experiences with Australia’s criminal justice system. Drawing inspiration from the Humans of San Quentin project, this collaboration invites individuals impacted by the criminal justice system to contribute stories that capture pivotal moments in their lives.
Through prompts like “A moment of joy,” “A moment of learning,” “A moment of connection,” and “A moment of forgiveness,” participants are encouraged to explore their personal journeys and share insights that resonate beyond the stone walls. This initiative provides a platform for these voices to be heard, fostering understanding, empathy, and working towards de-stigmatising the experiences of individuals who have been incarcerated.
A Moment in Time not only highlights the humanity of individuals impacted by incarceration, but also offers them a space for creative and authentic expression.
